
On October 31, at 19:00, the National Bank of Georgia in cooperation with the School of Technology of Ilia State University will hold a public lecture on “Cybersecurity as a profession.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn detailed information about the profession: what cybersecurity is all about, what responsibilities people working in this field may have, learn more about the hiring process and ask questions.
The event will be held with the involvement and support of the National Bank of Georgia, Ilia State University, the educational platform “Finedu”, the Banking Association, “TNET” and five commercial banks – Bank of Georgia, VTB Bank, Liberty Bank, Basisbank and ProCredit Bank of Georgia.
Cybersecurity service experts from the commercial sector will take part in the event. Speakers will discuss the importance of the cybersecurity industry and the skills required to start a career in this field.

At the initiative of the National Bank, the Georgian financial sector joins the international tradition and this year, for the second time, starts a campaign to raise awareness of cyber security. Cybersecurity Awareness Month is celebrated worldwide in October.
