Art Science, Practice, Management – Conference

On May 2-4, ISU Arts Research Institute will hold the 3rd international conference for MA and PhD students titled “Art Science, Practice and Management”.

The scientific conference supports education and mastering of young scientists.  17 PhD students from Georgia, Poland, Ukraine and Sweden are participating in it.

Mr. Brian Singleton, the Samuel Beckett Chair of Drama and Theatre at Trinity College Dublin, is a visiting professor at the conference.

On May 3, 11:00, Gigi Tevzadze, Rector of Ilia State University, will open the conference at the Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre. Venue: Agmashenebeli Ave. 164.

On May 4, 14:00, Ilia State University will host two lectures by Brian Singleton:  “European Theatre and Modern Performance”, “Landscapes of Memory: Postcolonial Performance beyond Nationalism”

The conference will be held with support of the Stichting Caucasus Foundation (SCF), Ilia State University and Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre.
