WORKSHOP ” How to use the Elsevier databases: ScienceDirect and Scopus”

On May 30 at 12 p.m., Ilia State University Library, in cooperation with Elsevier – the world’s leading publishing house, organizes a workshop on How to use the Elsevier databases: ScienceDirect and Scopus.

The workshop will deal with the effective use of scientific databases (ScienceDirect; Scopus), as well as the details of preparing and getting published in a scientific journal.

The workshop will be interesting for academic staff, doctoral students and library staff. The workshop will be held according to the agenda below:

• 12.00-12.15 – Introduction
• 12.15-12.45 – ScienceDirect – find your path from hypothesis to discovery / Helena Paczuska
• 12.45-13.00 – Break
• 13.00-13.45 – ScienceDirect – professional tool for working with scientific and technical information. Common skills in scholarly publishing and article structure / Maxim Filatov
• 13.45-14.30 – Scopus workshop – how to increase the visibility of your research? Katarzyna Patyrak
