Trauma and Society: Research and Practice

N. Zazashvili Annual Conference “Trauma and Society: Research and Practice”

Ilia State University Psychological Health Resource Center, Georgian Psycho Trauma Society, Torture Rehabilitation Center  of Georgia, Union “Sapari”, and foundation “Global Initiative in Psychiatry – Tbilisi” are organizing N. Zazashvili Annual Conference “Trauma and Society: Research and Practice”.

Conference will take place on April 25 (2 p.m.) and April 26 (10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) in ISU G106 hall.
The main topics of the conference are:

– Psycho trauma mechanisms and characteristics
– Treatment and care of post traumatic disorder
–  Newest research in the field of psycho trauma; its influence on evidence-based intervention implementation.

Cardiff University Professor Jonathan Bison will open the conference with his presentation -“The impact of DSM5 and ICD11 on PTSD”; he will also lead seminar “Neurobiology of Trauma and Pharmacology”.

Georgian Psycho Trauma Society members and other professionals will present at the conference.

Conference will be held in English and Georgian.
