The program “Teach and Learn with Georgia” is being implemented since 2010 and carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science LEPL, the National Center for Teacher Professional Development. Since 2012, the new component has been added to the program – a selection of local volunteers and their employment as English language teachers in public schools of the regions of Georgia.
The project aims to help the schools of the highland villages of Georgia, to increase the level of English language teaching, to introduce new teaching methods and materials, to employ young teachers and popularize the profession. Within the framework of the project, the citizens of Georgia, who are fluent in English and have a degree of bachelor, will be sent to different regions of Georgia as English language teachers. In case of one year successful cooperation, their two year Master studies will be financed.
