
On March 23, at 15:00, Ilia State University (ISU) will host Australian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Arad Benkö, who will give a public lecture on the topic European Union: Crisis or Chance? Challenges and Future Scenarios.
Regarding Speaker
Arad Benkö got education at King’s College of London (1991-1992), College of Europe (1996-1997), and in 1999, he graduated from the University of Austria (Vienna) with a Ph.D. His diplomatic career begins in 1998. In 1999 he served as attaché at the Embassy of Austria (Germany), as a political counselor of the United Nations Special Representative in Kosovo in 2000-2001 and as a Deputy Ambassador of Austria to Romania in 2002-2005. In 2015, he was Ambassador of Austria to Latvia, while since 2016, he has been the first Australian Ambassador to Georgia.
