On 12 April, at 19:00, Iliauni’s Science Café invites you to the meeting with the Ilia State University Professor of the faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, Tinatin Kakhniashvili, in room E 207 of Ilia State University.
Topic of the Meeting: Gravitational Waves: window to the universe
On September, 2015, a breakthrough was made in the field of Astronomy and Gravitational Physics by the detection of gravitational waves on two detectors of Laser Interfometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO). This discovery has laid the foundation for the new era in Astronomy and Gravitational Physics – the Epoch of Gravitational-wave Astronomy.
Gravitational-wave Astronomy will give us an opportunity to observe the birth of the universe and look at its earliest moments. The basics of the Gravitational-wave Astronomy and Physics as well as its future prospects will also be discussed at the meeting.
Time and Date: April 12, 19:00
Location: room E207, Ilia State University, Cholokashvili Ave. #3/5)
All welcome to attend the event.
