Book Club Meeting – About Sylvia Plath

Path from poet’s wife’s social status to XX century cult figure – Sylvia Plath, a poet and writer, and at the same time, wife of British writer Ted Hughes, was able to walk only part of this road. She received Pulitzer’s Prize and public acknowledgement only after her death.

Her suicide left unanswered questions:

• What do writers and poets get for honesty?
• Why do female writer’s journals and novel get lost?
• What does Sylvia Plath’s text have that every woman recognizes own voice in it?

Philosopher Tata Tsopurashvili will answer these and other questions on the third book club meeting on May 22, 7 p.m.
