{"id":15901,"date":"2022-11-08T10:39:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T06:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/events.iliauni.edu.ge\/event\/supporting-children-with-hearing-impairment-book-presentation\/"},"modified":"2024-02-02T13:12:58","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T09:12:58","slug":"supporting-children-with-hearing-impairment-book-presentation","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/events.iliauni.edu.ge\/en\/event\/supporting-children-with-hearing-impairment-book-presentation\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cSupporting Children with Hearing Impairment\u201d &#8211; Book Presentation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201cAI IA\u201d Foundation will hold a presentation of the e-book \u201cSupporting Children with Hearing Impairment\u201d at the book house \u201cLigamus\u201d on November 9, at 14:00.<\/p>\n<p>The book describes the medical, technical and psychoeducational methods of rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children, provides information about hearing aids, cochlear and brainstem implants, characteristics of hearing prosthesis for children, discusses the auditory method of speech development.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgian translation of the book by Ina Koroliova, doctor of Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences, author of auditory rehabilitation method, belongs to Tea Gochitashvili, audio-verbal therapist of the \u201cAI IA\u201d Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Consultants, Sofio Nadiradze, master of Communication, Language and Speech Therapy, head of the Mac Georgia program Mshoblis Skivri (Parent&#8217;s Chest), and Nino Lomidze, master of Clinical Neuropsychology and head of the department of psychologists of Mac Georgia, also worked on the book.<\/p>\n<p>The book was integrated into the master&#8217;s course in Communication, Language and Speech at the Ilia State University and was handed to the Iliauni library.<\/p>\n<p>At the presentation, professionals working with children and people interested in the issue will talk about the systemic challenges and resources surrounding children with hearing impairment.<\/p>\n<p>The book was created within the framework of the winning project \u201cSupporting Children with Hearing Impairment\u201d in the competition announced by Mac Georgia as part of the small grant program.<\/p>\n<p>The co-sponsor and implementer of the project is the Hearing Impaired Children Habilitation\/Rehabilitation and Development Charitable Foundation \u201cAI IA\u201d, an investment holding, an important foundation of the Smart Capital Group Social Responsibility.
