DESCRIPTION:On May 8\, at 13:00\, Alexander Vinnikov\, the Head of the NATO Liaison Office\, will give a public lecture in room E207 at Ilia State University The lecture is on the relations between the NATO and Georgia. \nAbout the Speaker \nOn February 1 the Dutch diplomat Alexander Vinnikov took up his assignment as the Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia. The office activities also cover Armenia and Azerbaijan. \nAlexander Vinnikov served as the Head of the NATO Representation to Ukraine for six years from 2015 to August 2021. \nEarlier he headed the NATO Liaison Office in Central Asia and worked at the NATO Headquarters in both the Political Affairs and Security Policy Division and the Defence Policy and Planning Division. He has previously served with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in several positions. \nHe started his career as an international relations researcher at Oxford University\, Harvard Kennedy School\, and Geneva Center for Security Policy. \nA diplomat Alexander Vinnikov holds academic degrees from Oxford University\, Sciences-Po Paris\, and the London School of Economics\, and he speaks seven languages. \nTime: May 8th\, 13:00 \nLocation: Room E 207\, 3/5 K. The event is organized by the Faculty of Business\, Technology\, and Education. \nThe topic: Green Marketing \nAbout the Lecture \nThe lecture covers sustainable and social aspects in marketing\, which are becoming increasingly important. On the one hand\, companies need to implement green marketing into their strategy to remain competitive. Consumers are becoming more and more environmentally conscious and demand sustainable and environmentally friendly products\, so companies need to satisfy these requirements. On the other hand\, regulatory frameworks of governments around the world are becoming more stringent in terms of environmental regulations and sustainability. Companies must comply with these regulations to avoid fines. \nThe audience will learn about concepts of green marketing and sustainability in marketing\, various examples of business models that address these concepts already\, and examples of greenwashing used by companies to maintain a “green” image without incorporating sustainability into their strategies. \nAbout the Speaker \nClaudia Maier is a study program director for the master’s program “International Business Relations” at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland\, Austria.
