SUMMARY:USAID and Ilia State University Joint Campus Lecture: “Conversation with Pollsters”
DESCRIPTION:On 21 December\, a Campus Lecture “Conversation with Pollsters” will be held by Ilia State University (ISU) in partnership with USAID Georgia. \nThe aim of the lecture is to give the students the opportunity to meet international researchers and leading research organizations in Georgia and discuss the methodological and ethical standards of the pre-election survey and exit polls. \nThe participants of the Campus discussion include: Analysis and Consulting Group (ACT)\, the Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC)\, the Institute for Social Research and Analysis (ISSA) and ANOVA\, Rector of Ilia State University\, Giga Zedania\, Representatives of the USAID Georgia Mission\, Former President of the US Public Opinion Research Association (AAPOR) and World Public Opinion Research Association (WAPOR)\, Professor Michael Traugott and former President of the American Public Opinion Research Association (AAPOR) Professor Peter Miller. \nThe lecture is supported by USAID’s Democratic Governance Initiative in Georgia (USAID GGI). \nThe conference will be held remotely via zoom and will be streamed on the ISU Facebook page. \nQuick Links \n\nProgram\n\nLecture time: December 21\, 2020\, 17:00-19:00. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n[wpai_display_imported_files_here]

SUMMARY:A CYCLE OF INTERDISCIPLINARY SEMINARS: GREEN HYDROGEN – THE FUTURE OF SUSTATINABLE ENERGY
DESCRIPTION:On 22 December 2020\, a seminar on Green Hydrogen – the Future of Sustainable Energy will be held as part of a cycle Energy and Sustainable Development organized by the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development of ISU School of Business\, Technology and Education. \nAbout the Seminar \nThe production and use of green hydrogen for the mitigation of climate changes has recently become a popular global trend. Storage of green hydrogen and its use for balancing the grid may lead to a substantial increase in the share of renewable energy to replace fossil fuels and the related pollutant emissions. Engaging in the international leadership race in this regard\, EU and many countries worldwide have developed comprehensive strategies and action plans and allocated huge financial resources to support technological research and development of policies and business processes. \nThe so-called green hydrogen will make the topic of the seminar.
