Drifters in search of work\, George and his simple-minded friend Lennie have nothing in the world except each other and a dream–a dream that one day they will have some land of their own. Eventually they find work on a ranch in California’s Salinas Valley\, but their hopes are doomed as Lennie\, struggling against extreme cruelty\, misunderstanding and feelings of jealousy\, becomes a victim of his own strength. Later\, “The History of Sexuality” passed criticism upon Freud’s entire psychoanalytical theory.  In parallel to this\, Žak Lakan’s interventions shed light on new kinds of tensions in Foucault’s and Freud’s debates. Is it possible to hold a dialogue between Foucault’s genealogical and psychoanalytical methods? What kinds of political consequences can these debates yield? How can Foucault’s intervention be comprehended in the light of psychoanalysis?
