DESCRIPTION:On May 13\, at 16:00\, at Ilia State University a presentation of a new certification course “Climate Change “will be arranged. After the presentation\, international expert\, Hans Verolme\, will deliver a public lecture\, while Georgian experts will focus the attention of the audience on the challenges posed to Georgia in the era of climate change.  \nThe event is being held with the financial support of Heinrich Böll Foundation within the framework of the project by Analytical Fund World Experience for Georgia (WEG)\, which aims to foster the advancement of civil society\, public sector and educational institutions. \nThe Faculty of Earth Sciences of Ilia State University\, as well as the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development are actively involved in research activities related to climate change. The new certification course of “Climate Change “will be a step forward in this direction. \nAim of the Certification CourseThe certification course aims to provide the audience with exhaustive information regarding global climate change and economic\, social and environmental threats posed to the earth today\, as well as present them with different possibilities to repel these threats and change the situation for the better. The audience will also be informed regarding initiations of International Collaboration and Georgia’s possible involvement in them.  \nRegarding Hans VerolmeHans Verolme has worked on the issues of climate change for 20 years. Now he performs his professional activities in Berlin. In the past\, he was a Senior Advisor at British Embassy and WWF Director. In 2008\, he founded the International Network centering on devising climate change policy throughout the world. He got a PHD within a joint program of the University of Caucasus and Georgia State University\, US.  He also holds an MA in Engineering and Business Administration. In 2002-03\, he attended a special programme for teachers at Georgia State University. Since 2003\, Akaki Kheladze has held leading posts at different organizations. In precisely 2003\, he undertook teaching. He was a dean of the faculty of Economy and Business of Tbilisi State University. He served as a director of MA and PHD programmes at Caucasus School of Business (CSB)\, as well as head of the school’s management department and as a manager of different training programmes. DESCRIPTION:On May 6\, at 19:00\, in room A101 of Ilia State University\, a public lecture by Ioseb Chauchidze on the topic — Against Repressive hypothesis: Foucault and Psychoanalysis was conducted. \nMichel Foucault’s “Istoriq na seksualnostta” (History of Madness) can be deemed to be a more or less systematic attempt to confront Freud’s psychoanalysis. Later\, “The History of Sexuality” passed criticism upon Freud’s entire psychoanalytical theory.  In parallel to this\, Žak Lakan’s interventions shed light on new kinds of tensions in Foucault’s and Freud’s debates. Is it possible to hold a dialogue between Foucault’s genealogical and psychoanalytical methods? What kinds of political consequences can these debates yield? How can Foucault’s intervention be comprehended in the light of psychoanalysis? DESCRIPTION:On May 5\, at 19:00\, Iliauni Literature Club hosted the meeting with Personal Data Protection Deputy Inspector Nikoloz Bregvadze at Book House Ligamus of Ilia State University. \nThe Speaker gave a speech regarding the novel “Of Mice and Men” of an accomplished American writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature and the Pulitzer Prize for his book\, The Grapes of Wrath\, John Steinbeck.\nRegarding the novel “Of Mice and Men” \nThe compelling story of two outsiders striving to find their place in an unforgiving world. Drifters in search of work\, George and his simple-minded friend Lennie have nothing in the world except each other and a dream–a dream that one day they will have some land of their own. Eventually they find work on a ranch in California’s Salinas Valley\, but their hopes are doomed as Lennie\, struggling against extreme cruelty\, misunderstanding and feelings of jealousy\, becomes a victim of his own strength. She will also discuss how creative marketing ideas\, consumer-driven service and innovative thinking made the reform of the House of Justice one of the successful reforms in Georgia and Georgian “know how”. DESCRIPTION:On April 13\, at 15:00\, at room E207 of Ilia State University\, Senior Advisor of McDonough Sustainable Innovation Collaboration\, Larry Black delivered a public lecture on the topic Beyond Recycling: Designing for Sustainable Waste Management. \nThe speaker addressed the question of whether “reduce\, reuse\, recycle\,” is enough to address the growing problem of consumer waste. He will discuss the benefits of designing products for eco-effectiveness and environmental sustainability. \nRegarding the Speaker \nLarry Black is a Business development executive\, consultant\, professional speaker and executive coach in the environmental services\, technology\, consumer products\, commercial real estate and retail sectors with extensive expertise in developing and delivering presentations and pitches which have generated over one billion dollars in sales of products and services primarily in the environmental services segment. \nHis fields of specialization include: sales and business development consulting\, national and international waste and recycling expertise\, creating corporate and government sustainability initiatives\, developing large scale environmental solutions\, sustainability goal development and environmental compliance. DESCRIPTION:On April 8\, at 17:00\, at lecture hall A101\, the archbishop of the Church of Wittenberg\, Doctor Yuli\, will deliver the public lecture: The role of the church and religious unions in the process of cooperation with the state and civil societies. The event is organised by Savle Tsereteli Institute of Philosophy of the Ilia State University. \nRegarding the rapporteur: \nIn 1975-1980\, Doctor Yuli studied Evangelical theology in Tübingen and Vienna. In 1983\, he served as a research assisstant on the theological faculty of Heidelberg University\, with the subject area of philosophy of religion. SUMMARY:Tamar Khachashvili's Public Lecture: How to Create Successful Company
DESCRIPTION:On April 8\, at 13:00\, at lecture hall E207 of the Ilia State University\, at the initiative of the Iliauni Business School\, Founder and Director of the “Caucasus Genetics” Company will deliver the public lecture on the topic: “How to Create a Successful Company”. \nMrs. Khachashvili will familiarise the students with her vast experience in the field of entrepreneurship by informing them how she started a small business in 2006\, and in what manner she managed to became the prime manufacturer in her field. \nTamar Khachashvili is also a founder of two other companies with different profiles: FIDA Georgia (specialising in agritourism and carrying out agriculturally based operations) and Women for Tomorrow (promoting women’s active involvement in social life). \nBy sharing her wide experience\, she will help the students effectively plan their future. \nRegarding the rapporteur: \nTamar Khacharashvili has a Master’s Degree in Economic Geography and is a PHD student of the Agrarian University as well as a certified couch of Erickson International University specialising in the agrarian sector\, with 15 years’ experience. Plus\, she has 10 years’ experience in business management. Apart from this\, she also serves as a Career and Personal Development Consultant as well as as a couch with 8 years’ experience in teaching. \nCaucasus Genetics\, the founder and manager of which is Tamar Khachashvili\, is the company which combines dairy experts and breeding and AI specialists. \nCaucasus Genetics launched its operation in 2006 as a small company serving for the east and south parts of Georgia. Nowadays it represents one of the key suppliers of Georgia in breeding and AI field. It is a leading company in milk production and processing as well as a key supplier of the best breeds of cattle and the best quality service provider in animal breeding and artificial insemination. \nIntroduction and implementation of modern technologies in Georgia is related precisely to the name of Caucasus Genetics LTD. \nIn 2014\, Mrs Khachashvili founded Agrotourism Company FIDA Georgia\, which\, for the purposes of familiarising themselves with Georgia’s history and agriculture\, has attracted a number of local and foreign tourists. \nThe Company mainly arranges agrotours\, wine and cheese tours\, learning and educational tours for pupils and students in diary production and cattle breeding. \nTamar Khachashvili is actively involved in public activities. \nIn 2004\, along with her supporters\, she founded Women’s Business Association “Women for Tomorrow”\, which aims to facilitate active involvement of women in economic and social life of the country. \nDate and time: April 8\, 13:00. \nVenue: \nThe event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. \n\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n[wpai_display_imported_files_here]
