SUMMARY:The International Seasonal School and the Conference "Georgian Language and Modern Technologies"
DESCRIPTION:Ilia State University takes great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the international seasonal school and the conference “Georgian Language and Modern Technologies” (4-9 May). The conference and seasonal school is expecting those interested in natural language processing technologies. \nThe conference is open to students and researchers whose interests are: \n\nMachine translation;\nExtracting data from the text;\nStatistical methods of text processing;\nGrammatical formalism;\nSemantic processes;\nLinguistic resources and dialogue systems;\nSpeech recognition and synthesis.\n\nThe five-day (4-8 May) seasonal school includes a series of workshops dedicated to the theoretical and practical aspects of natural language processing technologies and is designed for students majoring in computer science and linguistics. \nThe conference will be held on May 9\, 2021. \nWorking language: Georgian and English. \nConference and seasonal school are free. \nThose wishing to participate in the seasonal school must fill in the registration form and the cover letter: https://bit.ly/320MX7Y \nThose wishing to participate in the conference must fill in the registration form and   submit an abstract: https://bit.ly/3a0KL4C \nDeadline for the application is  April 24\, 2021. \nSelected candidates will be notified no later than April 27\, 2021. \nFor further inquiries please contact  nlp@iliauni.edu.ge \nParticipants will be selected based on their experience and motivation. \nThe conference and seasonal school are held in the scopes of   CARYS 19-1287 “Georgian Language Computer Processing API” project\, winner of the 2019 \n2021 \n  \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n[wpai_display_imported_files_here]

DESCRIPTION:On May 21st\, at 15:00\, Ilia State University (ISU) and Embassy of Japan in Georgia will organize a public lecture of the Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia H.E. Mr. Imamura Akira on the topic “Japan’s Post-War Success and Challenges”. \nPublic lecture will take place in Zoom format. All are welcome to attend the event. \nH.E. Mr. Imamura Akira has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia in December 2020. During various years H.E. Mr. Akira worked in Japanese missions in Australia\, UK\, Canada and Russia.
