SUMMARY:Admission to the Winter School “Public Opinion Research”
DESCRIPTION:Ilia State University and the Georgian Association for Public Opinion Research will hold a Winter School “Public Opinion Research” in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute and the International Republican Institute on November 16-18. \nTheme of the Winter School \nSchool participants will study important issues such as: quantitative and qualitative approaches (methods) in public opinion research\, including the measurement of error and reliability\, data visualization\, the importance of ethics and transparency issues\, the peculiarities of conducting interviews and focus groups\, and how a research instrument is developed using to collect data. \nTrainers of Winter School: \n\nProfessor Michael Traugott\, Program Director of the Inter-university Quantitative Research Methods Consortium for Political and Social Science at the University of Michigan; President of the World and American Associations for Public Opinion Research; Professor at the Northwestern University;\nPeter Miller\, former president of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR);\nAlan Gillam\, Director of the National Democratic Institute in Georgia; with over 10 years of professional experience in the parliamentary system in the United Kingdom and Scotland.\n\nAs well as\, professors of Ilia State University and members of the Association for Public Opinion Research\, including heads of research teams of leading research organizations operating in Georgia – CRRC\, ACT and ANOVA. \nSee the winter school program at the link: https://bit.ly/3Suyc59 \nWho is winter school intended for? \nStudents of Bachelor’s\, Master’s or Doctoral programs in Political and Social Science or Statistics of Ilia State University can participate in the Winter School. \nRequirements \nIt’s desirable for the applicant: \n\nto know English at the B2 level;\nto be interested in public opinion research\, or have experience working with research organizations as an interviewer or researcher.\n\nHow can I become a participant of the Winter School? \nIf you meet the above-mentioned qualification requirements\, send your resume to the e-mail address: zarina.burkadze@iliauni.edu.ge by November 4 of this year. \nDeadline for receiving documents: November 4 \nCertificate \nThe participants of the Winter School will be awarded certificates at the annual conference on Public Opinion Research organized by the International Republican Institute on November 18\, 2022. \nWorking language: English \nFormat: face to face\, at Ilia State University \n2022 \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n[wpai_display_imported_files_here]
