SUMMARY:MDF Media Literacy Forum 2022
DESCRIPTION:Media Development Foundation (MDF) is hosting its annual Media Literacy Forum as part of UNESCO’s 11th Global Media and Information Literacy Week on October 26-27. \nThe event is conducted in partnership with Ilia State University and with the support of the US Embassy in Georgia. \nThe event offers the following thematic workshops to young people interested in media and information literacy: \nGamification – “Fighting Fire with Fire: How to Become an Evil Genius and Rule the World”\, Lisa Poot\, The Bad News Game https://bit.ly/3z32d55 \nGeolocation – “How to Travel to the Occupied Territories of Georgia Using Geolocation”\, Maiko Ratiani\, Myth Detector/MDF; Manana Tevzadze\, “Blue Shield of Georgia” https://bit.ly/3CUnv5V \nNarrative Design – “How to Create Chatbots”\, Sandro Asatiani and mentor Tamta Papukashvili\, Cyber Laboratory Unilab of Ilia State University  https://bit.ly/3eKqHcB \nCoding – “What is Coding and How Can We Work with Computer Code”\, Sandro Asatiani and Giorgi Kvaratskhelia\, Cyber Laboratory Unilab of Ilia State University https://bit.ly/3scBGOO \nIn addition to the thematic workshops\, the forum will also traditionally host the MIL games fair\, and the participants will get to know MDF’s new game – “Cyber Snake”. \nA new study by MDF will be presented at the forum\, which studies the impact of media literacy and misinformation in Georgia. \nClips prepared within the framework of the media literacy project will be presented at the event\, one of which is the winner of the “Most Creative Format” nomination of #GlobalFact9. \nThe forum will reveal the most media-literate youth of 2022 and the best publications of “Myth Detector” of the year. \nThe Media Literacy Forum has been held by the Media Development Foundation in Georgia since 2019\, within the framework of the project “Media Literacy Youth Lab for Responsible Media Consumption” with the support of the US Embassy. \nFor more information:  https://bit.ly/3Dh7Krp \n2022 \n  \n  \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n[wpai_display_imported_files_here]

SUMMARY:Interactive exhibition: “UNIVERSUM.MENSCH.INTELLIGENZ.”
DESCRIPTION:October 25\, 2022\, the Goethe-Institut\, Max Planck Society and Ilia State University present the exhibition: “UNIVERSUM.MENSCH.INTELLIGENZ.”\, which is dedicated to the latest scientific achievements of Germany. \nThe exhibition tells us about the great secrets of humankind and the achievements of scientific thinking. \n“UNIVERSUM.MENSCH.INTELLIGENZ.” presents the research results of the Max Planck Society\, current and future research projects from Germany and asks questions that are still unanswered by humankind. \nThe purpose of the exhibition is to arouse interest in science and the German language. The exhibition will host visitors until November 29; you will be introduced to many interesting scientific innovations. \nThe exhibition consists of five themed areas: “The Universe\,” “Human History\,” “Our Brain\,” “Anthropocene\,” and “Artificial Intelligence.” Each module has an element of staging: for example\, a monitor for “face morphing\,” an atmospheric shell that shows the distances in the galaxy\, or shelves with various laboratory vessels. You will learn about many interesting scientific innovations at the exhibition. You will get access to additional material presented in the form of videos\, images and podcasts through QR codes. \nThe exhibition is mainly intended for pupils and students who study German and are interested in science.
