SUMMARY:100TH YEARS JUBILEE OF NATIONAL LANGUAGE: FUTURE OF GEORGIAN LANGUAGE IN ERA OF TECHNOLOGY AND GLOBALISATION
DESCRIPTION:On April 14\, at 17:00\, at Ilia State University Book House Ligamus\, The Institute of Linguistic Studies of Ilia State University and Mobile and Web Applications Laboratory GeoLab are inviting you to the discussion 100 Years Jubilee of the National Language: Future of the Georgian Language in the Era of Technology and Globalization. \nSpeakers will present the main issue of discussion from different perspectives: how much the public comprehends its responsibility to Georgian as an official language and how this paramount responsibility is replaced with the tradition of respecting the Georgian language for which the foundation was laid by the historic event of April 14. \nSpeakers will focus on the issues as follows: \n\nScript as a type of communication and the Georgian script in modern technologies. New initiatives and projects to preserve the Georgian script and develop it;\nGeorgian and the foreign language textual inheritance (Urartian\, Aramaic\, Jewish\, Greek\, etc.) preserved in Georgia in the digital era;\nHow the world is being developed from the natural language modeling perspective\, modeling of the Georgian language and its significance in the era of technology;\nGeorgian language robots/bots and their role in communication;\nGeorgian language digital educational resources to get quality education.\n\nThe discussion will present less known facts for public from historic events of 1918\, namely\, the Ordinance on Nationalization of Schools and Institutions\, which was published in 1918 and thanks to which Georgian as a national language started to exist legally. \nIn the discussion will be involved: Sandro Asatiani\, Nino Doborjginidze\, Giorgi Vakhtangishvili\, Tamar Kalkhitashvili\, Irina Lobjanidze\, Akaki Razmadze\, and Zura Jishkariani. \nDate and time: 14 April\, 17:00 \nVenue: Book House Ligamus (Chavchavadze Ave. N32)\, Ilia State University. \nAll are welcomed to attend the event. \n  \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n[wpai_display_imported_files_here]
