On November 10, Ilia State University will host a workshop and concert in Auditorium B201, organized by the Music Centre at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
The concert seeks to engage young composers with Sonorism, a Polish music movement that was predominant in the 1960s. It was the time of sonoristic experiments by composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Kazimierz Serocki, or Witold Szalonek. This style of music focuses on the origin of sound, its tonal color, duration, and sonority. These elements continue to be of significant interest to composers today.
Date/Time: November 10, at 11:00 and 18:00
Location: Ilia State University, Auditorium B201, 32 Ilia Chavchavadze Ave.
Everyone interested is welcome.
