Sociology in Turbulent Times

On July 3, 11:00, Ilia State University holds a scientific conference titled “Sociology in Turbulent Times”. Venue:  ISU Hall A 101

The time we are living in offers the opportunities alongside with various challenges which require in-depth sociological analysis. The young researchers interested in the current challenges facing to sociology are able to present their papers and share their knowledge with one another.

The key topics of the conference are: social media, new forms of social relations, financial, political and ecological crisis, growing social inequality, potential future.

The conference aims to provide students and young researchers, working on the mentioned topics, with opportunities to meet each other, to expand their academic network, to share their knowledge with one another, to discuss their works and current important challenges of the modern society which are particular impulses for sociological imagination.
