Public Lecture by Professor Elena Shevchenko “Ukraine’s Relations with International Organizations and Military Alliances

On June 22, at 19:00, Elena Shevchenko, Professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of kyiv, will deliver a public lecture on “Ukraine’s Relations with International Organizations and Military Alliances” at Ilia State University.

The speaker will address the following topics:

• Ukraine, one of the founders of the UN;
• Cooperation with UNESCO, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;
• Evolution of NATO-Ukraine relations; Public opinion on Ukraine’s aspirations towards NATO; Areas of cooperation; Russia’s position on Ukraine’s aspirations towards NATO.
