From August 29 to September 3, 2013 Ilia State University the Institute of Earth Sciences, Taiwan National University, the Department for Geosciences and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation are organizing the First International Practical-Scientific Conference – “Active Tectonics of Caucasus, Magnetism – Natural Hazards and Resources”.
The aim of the conference is presenting the latest research in the active tectonics of the region and its analysis; discussion of the latest result of study methods of active tectonics (applied Geophysics, GPS observations, remote sensing, seismology, geochemistry etc), achievements and usage; analysis of seismicity and other geohazards related to the modern active tectonics, introduction to the examples of their research and modern methods of their prevention; planning and development of new spheres of cooperation and joint scientific-research projects.
The main sessions of the conference will be held at Ilia State University, during August 29-31 and the practical field seminar will be held in Stepantsminda on September 1-3, 2013
