The scholarly publications of Gérard Garitte and Bernard Outtier have made a significant contribution to the study and teaching of the ancient Georgian literary and translation tradition at universities abroad. Their work has helped advance research on Georgia’s ancient linguistic heritage in international academic circulation and has played an important role in the development of Georgian Studies outside Georgia.
